IT DevOps Intern

Protective Insurance, Carmel, IN

Jan 2021 - Aug 2021

  • With Protective, I had my first foray into the world of dev-ops. I partnered with the Scrum Team to implement cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure) and document learnings. I also assisted them in breaking down user stories into manageable work packages. Most of my work, however, was dedicated to pure programming, where I utilized dev-ops tools to mature the team’s continuous delivery and continuous integration capabilities via Docker and Jenkins and assisted with other additional development tasks in .NET Core (C#), Groovy, JSON and JS as needed.

BUT...WHAT IS A MATTHEW KRUZE?

Born and raised in Indiana, Matthew has been motivated and inspired by games all his life. From his first gaming memories with Super Mario World to creating TTRPG systems and settings, to competing in Super Smash Bros. tournaments, to designing fully fledged games, Matthew has always had a passion for making people feel joy from play. Some of his fondest memories come from games, and he hopes that he can help create some lasting memories with his games.

Currently living in Indianapolis and a graduate with Highest Honors from IUPUI, Matthew spends his days running campaigns in Evil Hat's FATE system, developing a large scale world setting for said campaigns, and spending countless hours playing Evil Mojo's Paladins for some reason. Some of Matthew's other interests include cooking at a moderately proficient level, singing baritone in his non-existent, but wishful, barbershop quartet, and definitely not being an awakened pile of portobello mushrooms. I mean, like, w-what would give you that idea, huh?!
